description  UN FAO published a Food Composition Database for Pulses. Pulses are edible seeds of plants in the legume family. Legume is a plant whose fruit is enclosed in a pod. Pulse refers to a dried seed such as dried peas, edible beans, lentils and chickpeas. Using linked-data techniques, AFDSI imports pulses composition data to create a UN FAO Pulses Composition Ontology.
